who?
Originally from Central New Jersey (aka the second-to-last stop on the NJ Transit), I abandoned the life of competitive figure skating to pursue professional dress-up (see above), which will culminate in my BFA in Musical Theatre from Wright State University this spring.
I also play the autoharp, an instrument I fell in love with when I heard Brittain Ashford's solo music, a love that's fueled me through the 7 years I've taken it to auditions and promptly been asked what the fuck an autoharp is.
Among my favorite things in theatre are swinging/understudying, dialect work (10 and counting!), Viewpoints (5 years of fancy walking), and jumping between the worlds of legit soprano and high pop/rock belt.
When I'm not waiting in a holding room for someone to mispronounce my last name, I teach yoga at L.A.Fitness as a certified 200HR yoga teacher and sound healer, find new ways to beat my GoodReads End-of-the-Year Reading Challenge (154 books in 2023!), and listen to riot grrl bands while missing archery targets.
I've performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway, and various regional theatres across the country (not including the esteemed NJ community theatre where I had a very nuanced take on Charlie Bucket's mom in Willy Wonka Jr. at the age of eleven).
I love doing new works and have had the insane luck to work on many-- the collegiate premiere of sway by SMJ (still going through the revision process as we rehearsed!), the collegiate premiere of Kelly the Destroyer vs. the Springfield Cobras by Rob Hartmann and Katie Kring (who consulted with us and saw the show!), as well as the Off-Broadway premiere of The Dolls of New Albion by Paul Shapera and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival premiere of Hamlettes by Patrick Shaw.
I'm nothing without the many (!!!) teachers, mentors, family (found + otherwise) who believe in me, and my cat Blossom, who does not believe in me and bites me a lot, but this somehow motivates me to work hard too.
